Corymbo Foundation
‘Corymbo’ means umbel (Latin: corymbus) and symbolises joint action. Like an flower cluster, which brings together individual parts to form a larger whole, the Corymbo Foundation brings together individual endowment funds that promote social, cultural and environmental projects in Switzerland and internationally.

The Corymbo Foundation is a tax-exempt, non-profit foundation under the supervision of the Swiss Federal Supervisory Authority for Foundations. It is politically and religiously neutral and acts independently of banks or other financial service providers. But Corymbo is much more than that: as an umbrella foundation, it provides space for individual foundation funds.
It manages the funds allocated to it from donations and inheritances comprehensively and cost-effectively and makes grants on behalf of its donors. Thanks to a strong network and broad expertise, Corymbo provides advice, support and impetus in the implementation of individual funding interests.
As a supporting foundation, Corymbo acts as a hub between donors and applicants. It reviews applications from non-profit organisations based in Switzerland and maintains dialogue with the various funds under its umbrella. It awards grants in the areas of social welfare, culture and ecology in Switzerland and internationally.
Applications: Applications submitted to us must meet the following requirements in addition to the specific criteria for the individual funding areas (social, cultural and ecological):
• The projects submitted must originate from non-profit organisations based in Switzerland that provide transparent information about their finances. For us, this includes publishing their annual financial statements on their own website.
• The projects submitted must be of supraregional, national or international significance. If this is not the case, the project must be exemplary in nature and transferable to other regions.
